So Much To Be Thankful For
It's Thanksgiving. My favorite time of year. I love the gathering together of friends and loved ones for the sole purpose of celebrating, giving thanks, and connecting to gratitude. Best of all, there are no gift requirements. Just great food, warm hearts, and an opportunity to do a little inventory about all the wonderful things in our lives to give thanks for.
I also love Thanksgiving because it brings a daily practice that I share with my sweetheart into a larger context. Everyday we share with each other what we are grateful for-no matter how crazy, challenging, fustrating or otherwise perfect the day has been. Sometimes we do it as we are pillow-talking before drifting off to sleep, but usually it is over our evening meal.
This blogs featured photo is one of Joao starting the painting process in our new living room. The words on the wall are our intentions for the space-we wanted to paint them into the space to attract that which we desire into manifestation. (You should see what we painted into the bedroom walls!!) I realize that these intentions are also some of the things that I am so grateful for as well. I love that they double both as recognition of what is and what we have to be thankful for, as well as for the things we intend to keep having.
There are SOOO many things to be grateful for!! Here is my list for this Thanksgiving :
-an amazing partner who gives in so many ways
-a circle of friends that circles the globe
-awareness and personal growth
-no worry about where my next meal is coming from
-a beautiful new home
-a professional network of support, inspiration and encouragement
-warm desert days in November
-bold colors and spacious imaginations
-a body that moves and loves and desires and dances
-a wide array of emotions that I get to feel
-music
-doing what I love
-transitions and new beginnings
-freedom to be my authentic self
I hope that each and every one of you have an abundant list of things to be thankful for as well, and that your holiday is filled with yummy food, loving friends and family, warmth and peacefulness. Take the day to rest, give thanks, and smile-for we are a fortunant bunch and there is much to be grateful for.
Blessings,
Coach Margie
